How do I clean Invisalign aligners?
- Give your aligners a good rinse as soon as you take them out. From there, soak your aligner trays with the Invisalign brand crystal cleaning solution. This solution removes bacteria, so it’s a good idea to do this at least once a day.
- Now, use a soft bristle toothbrush (but not your daily toothbrush) to give your aligners a light brushing to get rid of any debris that remains after the soak.
- Finally, rinse off both aligners and place back in your mouth, making sure they’re fully “clicked in” with chewies if you have to.
How long do I wear each set of aligners?
Generally, you should wear your aligners for two weeks before changing to the next set, but because this varies by smile, you should follow Dr. Tongco’s guidance. In some cases, for example, you might wear an aligner set for as little as a week before switching. This will depend on your specific treatment plan, so if you’re unsure about what we advised, be sure to ask your care team for more information.
Does Invisalign fit an active lifestyle?
